The recreational feature class is a consolidation of several individual features prior to the 2.0 version. It is used for cartographic purposes on response maps at relatively small scales (although see the Hardscape feature class / type for similar representations at larger scales for Pre-fire plan mapping). The fields SymRotation and SymbolSize are important attributes because they drive feature characteristics.

Prior to 2005 the features were captured in older AutoCAD formats and converted to ESRI features. Coverage is generally in the North and Central Zones. Update frequency is as-needed, generally monthly, relatively low.

Identifies the location of recreational features for typically shown on schools and parks and recreational centers.
